Athina Pantelaki, MA, MFT

Athina grew up in Greece and currently resides in Manhattan. She has worked collaboratively with individuals, couples, and families in a community clinic setting since 2023. Athina has experience working with communication issues, infidelity, life transitions, unmet emotional needs, emotional dysregulation, trauma, anxiety, depression, and relational conflict. She has experience working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Athina works to help her clients slow down, reconnect with their emotions, and identify what truly serves them in their lives and relationships. She is experienced supporting individuals with emotional dysregulation and high-conflict couples utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills.

Athina is a Limited Permit Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hofstra University. Athina completed her Bachelor’s degree in Preschool Education in Greece in 2017. She is bilingual and offers therapy in English or Greek.

Athina is a thoughtful and empathetic therapist who prioritizes creating a secure and nonjudgmental environment for clients to explore their experiences. She is passionate about helping couples strengthen their emotional bond by learning how to navigate difficult conversations with empathy and understanding. Athina's approach emphasizes emotional safety and practical strategies that clients can take with them beyond the therapy room. She has eight years of experience working with children and is passionate about helping families and couples build stronger relationships, improve communication, and create lasting, meaningful change.

Rates and Insurance:

Sessions are 45 minutes and are held in office or remotely via secure telehealth video software. Athina's fee is $100/session.

Athina is not in network or out of network with insurance. If you have a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA), this is a great opportunity to utilize them. Both are acceptable for session payments
