Nader Zahran, MA, LMFT
licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Nader strives to create a collaborative and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring difficult emotions and experiences. He is particularly interested in helping couples understand the cycles they get caught in, recognize the needs and feelings beneath their reactions, and develop healthier ways of communicating and connecting. Drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and other evidence-informed approaches, he works with clients to build greater understanding, navigate challenges, and make meaningful changes in their relationships.
Nader has worked with individuals, couples, and families in outpatient and community mental health settings. He has experience working with relationship distress, communication difficulties, anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, trauma, and life transitions. Nader takes a systemic and attachment-oriented approach to understanding how past experiences, emotional needs, and recurring patterns influence the way people relate to themselves and others. He values the opportunity to help clients better understand themselves and one another, move beyond familiar patterns, and build more fulfilling relationships. Nader is also trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skill building.
Nader is a New York State Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He received his Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hofstra University after completing his Bachelor's degree at SUNY Farmingdale.
